The endorsement of a specific language has not yet been obtained for possible inclusion in the platform.

The CEO of the Let's Reach 1 Million People Campaign, Joe Knudson stated that he, along with fellow officers of the campaign, COO James Vivian and  CAO Arturo Schultz agreed and the campaign will fully endorse this inclusion in the Democratic Party Platform and will be actively publicizing this endorsement and enlisting the endorsement of other LGBTQI organizations, along with other US Senators as well.  As Knudson stated, "It is about time our US Senators take a stand on marriage equality regardless of whatever odds it may put them at with President Obama, who has yet shown his support other than the continual referral to his evolution on the subject."
