FOLLOW UP INVITATION FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE 2012 WORLDWIDE LGBTQI CIVIL RIGHTS MARCHES & NON-MARCH EVENTS ON APRIL 21, 2012

2012 WORLDWIDE LGBTQI CIVIL RIGHTS MARCHES

The International Committee would like to invite and welcome your participation in the final planning of these events; we are within the 6-8 WEEK period prior to these events and are pulling out all the stops to bring other locations around the world on board and have the LGBT+ community in all countries represented in these historic events.

Participation can be in many forms, from actually taking on the responsibility of a Lead Organizer to organize an actual march in your location in a show of SOLIDARITY for our brothers and sisters worldwide on our journey to LGBT+ equality, to a different responsibility of becoming an AMBASSADOR in helping promote and spread the news of this special day on April 21, 2012, to another totally different and fun responsibility of organizing non-march events (picnics, social gatherings, watch parties, etc.) for those wanting to be a part of this historic day, but not able to participate in an actual march for a variety of reasons.
These events have been in the making for many, many months after a study was performed to determine the proper timing and structure for these marches and non-march events.  The window of opportunity worldwide is about as far open as it will ever be for these events to take place with the earlier speech by US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, in addition to actions at the United Nations.  The LGBT+ communities worldwide must continue this drive and build on this momentum in advancing our chances for BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS worldwide.
It is not so much as to what the committee thinks specifically needs to be accomplished in various countries around the world as we know there are various issues specific to each country and that is why these marches and events are structured the way they are so each specific issue can be addressed accordingly by each individual country, as well as a showing of solidarity among the LGBT+ communities worldwide of the need for Basic Human Rights for all LGBT+ throughout the world.

There is much to be said for a showing of support by all LGBT+ throughout the world regardless of their own situation at home.
We all know the horrific situations for many LGBT+ throughout various countries and this showing of support by all of our brothers and sisters worldwide definitely does go a long way to show societies and governments worldwide of the need for all citizens, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation, to be able to live a life according to the same laws and guarantees available to most other segments of society. These marches and events will be a huge tool in this education and enlightenment process throughout the world!
We realize these events may mean different things and take on different meanings in certain countries, but one thing all of us have in common is that discrimination stills abounds throughout the world in regards to the LGBT+ and these events are a great tool to educate and enlighten societies and governments just what these areas of discrimination are.  If you read through our disclosure document you will see that even here in America, we have senators that truly believe there is no discrimination against the LGBT+ and that is truly so sad.  How can we expect changes to certain laws when many of the lawmakers are truly ignorant of the actual facts.
These events are different than most any of the past in that we are bringing these events to the people and their communities around the world where the majority of society congregates and expose themselves to the issues at hand, rather than requiring the traveling of participants and interested members of society to a central location that many could not afford, with the committee spending thousands upon thousands of dollars on enough attractions to entice them to show up, let alone those members of society that really need this education would in all likelihood not travel to attend anyway.  The exposure and reach of our campaign extends much further in this type of structure, as well as the politicians at all levels of government are more likely to attend or send their aides or official spokespersons to these TOWN HALL types of events scheduled worldwide.
Please click on the title above to be redirected to the official website for these events (which includes the complete disclosure document as has been requested by many of the large national and international LGBTQI organizations) and we would appreciate any involvement you could lend; look it over and let us know how you would like to assist in any aspect with these events to render the efforts of all involved a truly huge advancement for the rights of the LGBT+ worldwide.

As our International Committee Chairman Joe Knudson has stated many times,
"FAILURE TO TAKE ACTION NOW AND FAILURE OF THOSE TO PARTICIPATE IS NOTHING SHORT OF FAILING OUR OWN LGBTQI COMMUNITIES AND DENYING BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS TO ALL WORLDWIDE!"
