"Poignant and inspiring, Living The Difference is an extraordinary if not courageous survival story of the modern age. Conquering the final frontier of bigotry and prejudice to live a life in authenticity, the author compels his reader to search his soul for his social responsibility and stand up for an extraordinary modern movement of equality. In this stirring novel, the author offers a new perspective initiating a paradigm shift in what we think we know and understand, and what truly is. An amazingly rich piece of literature, and a MUST READ in these tumultuous times of the right to live in genuine authenticity and recognition of equality for all mankind. " --Jessica Arent

"J.C. Knudson has done an amazing and outstanding job in his literary debut. It's a work filled with love, hate, joy, sorrow, and much more. Knudson takes us on a tour of his life that is filled with life-changing events that will keep you reading through the night. This is an excellent source for anyone wanting to learn about homosexuals and their many conflicts in society. It inspires liberation for anyone struggling with their identity or that of a loved one. This book joins others on the path for equal rights for homosexuals and other minority groups. Knudson is truly living the difference." --J.J. Thomas

"Knudson takes a very modern approach to the old fashioned 'coming of age' narrative. Picking up themes from 'Random Family' (Adrian Nicole LeBlanc) and 'Rules for Old Men Waiting' (Peter Pouncey), he breaks through and takes us through a fascinating journey no gay author has been able to capture to date." --Ryan Scott Scarola

Please visit my site at  http://www.thegaylyblogger.blogspot.com/  for information on what I am trying to accomplish. I am using my book as a vehicle to educate society on a topic so misunderstood, homosexuality. I truly believe an educated society will be more prone to understanding, acceptance, and eventual equality for all. Homosexuals and heterosexuals alike have expressed an inquisitive yearning for more information once they've read my book. The ignorance must stop, along with all the gay teen suicides!
Please help in whatever way you can!

Christmas

Need a unique Christmas gift for friends and family? Buy them a book, LIVING THE DIFFERENCE: an enlightening story revealed for people of all ages straight or gay!

J.C. Knudson always knew he was different. But growing up in the small-town South during the 1960s and ’70s, he didn’t know what to make of his growing sense that he just wasn’t interested in the same thing as his friends—girls. Was something wrong with him? Could it change? And—most of all—were there others who felt the same as he did? Living the Difference is the first in a remarkable coming-of-age series that chronicles Knudson’s quest to understand himself and make his way in the world as a proud gay man. This raw, intensely personal book details his early efforts to inhibit his desires through marriage; seek out a community of like-minded people; start a career free from discrimination; come out to his family and friends; and find true love, once and for all. But more than just one individual’s unique story, Living the Difference is required reading for anyone trying to understand the twentieth-century American gay experience—in a time before widespread media acceptance and anti-discrimination laws. This heartening yet frankly realistic memoir will also give hope and understanding to those coming to terms with the sexuality of themselves or their loved ones. And its message—of acceptance, tolerance, and understanding—provides good counsel no matter the time or place.

It Gets Better

The following is a message from me broadcast last evening, Sunday, November 28, 2010 to LGBT youth on Outbeat Youth, a regular segment on Outbeat Now over KRCB Radio FM 91:

"Hi, I'm J.C. Knudson and I am here to tell you it definitely does get better. I am a 55 year old divorced gay father of two sons and I am living the life I was meant to live. No matter where you are at in your life or who you are, you are here for a reason and that reason is to live your life to its' fullest and be proud of who you are. Sometimes it may seem a little overwhelming dealing with so many issues at such an early age, but don't worry, we have all felt that at some point in our life. You have a long life ahead of you and there is plenty of time to decide what you want to do with it. You are so lucky to be a part of this world today and while you may not think so at times, be patient, everything will fall in place for you.

Take a look at what we have accomplished in society today; we are lawyers, doctors, mayors, senators, actors, authors, just to name a few. I remember when Ellen De Generes came out on national TV; look at her now. A recent poll named her the most influential and famous gay rights advocate in America. I know I will see many of your names in places you probably wouldn't think of at this point in your life. Please know you are loved and there is a place for you, a place you will be proud to be a part of.

Always remember, for those difficult times, there are people who want to help; don't ever give up, reach out at any time, we are all here for you! I recently wrote a book about my life and it would have been difficult to complete had I not known such courageous individuals such as you all are!"

EDUCATION

Many in the gay community bitch about equality, gay rights, etc.; but do the majority of us do anything about it? No!!!!!!!!!! Do you know the one area that help is needed in to achieve equality? EDUCATION! How can society in today's world accept something and move toward equality in those areas they are uneducated in? Would you vote to change or improve something if you were ignorant of the true facts? Probably not!

So what's going to change this? EDUCATION!!

I have written a book, LIVING THE DIFFERENCE: an enlightening story revealed for people of all ages straight or gay, that is equally as important for straight individuals to read, as well as all homosexuals. The book will help educate all on homosexuality and that it is a part of life and touches virtually everyone in one way or another in this world. It will help shine light and open the minds of those ignorant of homosexuality and will also show homosexuals that rather than bitch about our current situation, we should promote education and allow society to see just what being a homosexual is all about. Don't make it just sexual; most everyone straight or gay has sex...what happens in the bedroom should stay in the bedroom. Make it who we really are; we are human beings just like everyone else in any society in any part of the world. While we want to keep in the bedroom what happens in the bedroom, we definitely want to feel comfortable in coming out of the closet!

Maybe then, we will have a much easier time in achieving equality and making this world a better place for everyone to live in harmony and mutual respect.

Be a part of this drive, challenge, and ultimate goal. Order a copy of my book and then join me in these efforts to EDUCATE, ENLIGHTEN, and INFORM the general public as to who we really are. We are DOCTORS, WRITERS, TEACHERS, PARENTS, LAWYERS, POLITICIANS, CLERGY, MILITARY, ACTORS, SINGERS, PAINTERS, ARTISTS, FARMERS, LAW ENFORCEMENT, NURSES, HOMELESS, LOW INCOME, MIDDLE INCOME, WEALTHY, ELECTRICIANS, PLUMBERS, BUSINESSMEN, BUSINESSWOMEN, MALE, FEMALE, ETC.; we are members of all societies in every part of the world!

Tip of the day: GET OFF YOUR ASS AND DO SOMETHING GREAT THAT WILL BE FUN AND REWARDING FOR YOURSELF AND EVERYONE YOU COME IN CONTACT WITH, MAKE THAT DIFFERENCE!

(Portions of this post are from an earlier post prior to the release of my new book, LIVING THE DIFFERENCE: an enlightening story revealed for people of all ages straight or gay.)

Anti-LGBT Bullying

I've been appalled by recent news of suicides among young people who have been bullied because they are lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender or because others perceive them to be LGBT.  It's a tragedy, and we need to do everything we can to protect our kids.

Students are often bullied or harassed without mercy because of their sexual orientation or gender identity – or simply because of who their tormentors think they are.  All students deserve to attend safe and welcoming schools.  Students can not learn when they feel unsafe.

Our local school districts need to take immediate steps to protect all students and make sure they have a safe learning environment.

Tip of the day:  WRITE A LETTER TO YOUR LOCAL NEWSPAPER EDITOR AND HELP STOP THE BULLYING!

Don't Preach To Others, Educate Them

This was so interesting and received so many comments that I felt it needed to be posted again, here!

We need to take a strong stance against any group whose individuals oppose upholding any one's civil rights. Those who hide behind the good book need to be challenged and the anti-bullying does not need any further dissecting by uneducated, ignorant, bible thumping individuals who know nothing about what they are preaching to the rest of the world. Those who are homophobic hide behind the claim that it is a sin, when in fact, it is a sin to preach in the name of God by falsely claiming the allegations that these religious zealots tout to their congregations. Educational institutions, academia, educators have an obligation to ensure that all children are protected from violence. Homophobia leads to violence. This is an illness in and of itself and those who struggle with homophobia need treatment. We all know it. Any group whose civil rights were taken away from them for their religious beliefs, or because of the color of their skin, and many other reasons faced the same rhetoric as we are having to face repeatedly throughout the decades . In every instance we heard at every level how it was a sin to be black, how it was a sin to be anything but Christian. These are the same individuals who preach the same rhetoric and claim they are the only ones who have the right set of values.

Tip of the day:  DON'T PREACH TO OTHERS, EDUCATE THEM!

It Gets Better

I'm sure you know about the "It Gets Better Project"; we all need to do whatever we can to show youths, teens, young and old adults alike, THAT IT DOES GET BETTER! I joined the project in order that I can help spread that word. Part of my spreading the word is to get my latest book release into the proper hands as it's the story of my life and it would show anyone out there that it definitely does get better! I posted my story synopsis with them in hopes my book can get to those who really need some encouragement; I even offered to any youth or teen, who viewed my story synopsis on that site, to contact me directly if they need assistance in getting my book free! The following is a recent press release that will tell you a little more about what I'm trying to accomplish:

Espresso House Publishing has recently released a highly anticipated book from Oklahoma City author J. C. Knudson, LIVING THE DIFFERENCE: an enlightening story revealed for people of all ages straight or gay! With all the news coverage recently on gay rights, teen suicides, and the mid-term elections, this is a MUST READ BOOK NOW! Great reviews to date. Additional details can be found at the links below:

http://www.prlog.org/10912636
http://outskirtspress.com/livingthedifference
http://youtu.be/M5w1cj_48bY?a

Knudson is using the book as a vehicle to educate society on homosexuality using a more personal approach. An Oklahoma City resident of 30+ years, Knudson is concerned over the remarks of Sally Kern, an Oklahoma legislator known for her outspoken stance against gays and homosexuality; the obvious ignorance on the issue of homosexuality, shown by her remarks, is just one example of why this education is so vitally important. He is a firm believer that an educated society is definitely a more accepting and understanding society and along with that will eventually follow equality for all on many issues. Readers are coming away with a more personal understanding of homosexuality, along with an inquisitive yearning for more information. THIS MAY BE THE WAY TO GO IN ACHIEVING UNIVERSAL UNDERSTANDING AND ACCEPTANCE THAT THERE REALLY ARE TWO PREDETERMINED TRAITS OF SEXUAL PREFERENCE AMONG ALL HUMAN BEINGS! Conformity to the more widely known and understood preference, heterosexuality, has just been demanded and expected of everyone from the beginning of time. The world has evolved into a more demanding and argumentative society than many of our older and past philosophers and non-philosophers alike ever thought possible or even probable; many archaic beliefs are finally getting the dusting they deserve to reveal a whole new set of circumstances! THIS IS THE WAY IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN; IT'S JUST NEVER BEEN A PRESSING PRIORITY TO GET THAT INFORMATION IN FRONT OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN ORDER THAT SOCIETY BE TRULY EDUCATED ON A TOPIC SO MISUNDERSTOOD. THE TIME IS NOW AND THE IGNORANCE WILL STOP!

Please help me in whatever way you can to get this ignorance stopped once and for all! Whatever methods or distribution channels you may have available in helping me with this process would be greatly appreciated. I devoted the final chapter in my book to enlisting the help of every individual willing to help with this education, as well as listing numerous ways this can be done!

Racism

It's difficult at times to really find the right individuals to get the right information to when needing assistance in promoting something you feel so adamant about. Who are the right individuals?

More importantly, what is the right information? I am trying to wipe out the ignorance that exists in many sectors of society today. That ignorance is not only damning to homosexuals, but also extremely dangerous; ignorance many times incites rioting throughout the world. We've heard of racism as far back as most of us can remember; do you realize that homophobia is another form of racism? Take a look at the laws and morality associated with racism; why should homophobia be treated any different?

I am using my new book recently released, LIVING THE DIFFERENCE: an enlightening story revealed for people of all ages straight or gay, as a vehicle for educating society on homosexuality. Initial reviews show readers exhibiting an inquisitive yearning for more information; these readers are not just homosexuals, but heterosexuals as well. This more personal and direct approach appears to be reaching many individuals who we've been needing to reach for a very long time.

Join in my efforts! Give me your thoughts! Let's get this accomplished in our lifetime; equality should not only be reserved for heterosexuals. I'm not meaning for this to sound like a plug for my book, but check it out; go to my author web page for more information at   http://outskirtspress.com/livingthedifference   Please don't feel we can't discuss this without your reading my book; let's get the discussion going right away, I'm sure it will still be going on long after you've read my book!

I appreciate being a part of this group, but more importantly I appreciate each and every one of you!

THIS WAS A DISCUSSION TOPIC I POSTED IN A GROUP OF PROFESSIONALS ON LINKEDIN

Book Reviews

I would be honored for my friends and followers to submit their book review of my recently released book, LIVING THE DIFFERENCE: an enlightening story revealed for people of all ages straight or gay.  My publicist is scheduling a book signing tour for early 2011 and he asked that I obtain as many reviews of the book as possible.  He is pulling together reviews of readers from all realms for inclusion as part of the tour and I will be picking certain reviews from those received for inclusion in my sequel to be released in late 2011.

The readers who want to have their review included in my tour will receive an original signed print of their review upon completion of the tour and if in attendance of one of my tours would, of course, get their edition autographed in person.

This is by invitation only.  Follow the links in this blog for book purchase options or go directly to  http://outskirtspress.com/livingthedifference

It's an approach few authors dare to try, but I am trying to drive the point home of the importance of education to society around the world of acceptance, tolerance and understanding of the right of an individual to live the life they were given to live! I feel everyone involved in my earnest endeavor will benefit from high levels of media exposure, have a tremendous amount of fun along the way, and feel a tremendous amount of self worth for their contributions to a better world for all mankind. THANKS!

Brothers

I am going to post the email I sent to my brother a few days back.  He called me the other day and it was the most enjoyable, loving, and understanding conversation we have ever had!  Just wanted to share the email with everyone.

Hi Steve,

Been awhile. Spencer and I have moved again. We moved after two years from the new home we had constructed to an older historical home in an established neighborhood much closer to Jarred and Jordan. We spend a lot of time together. Our new address is 7532 W. Fordson Drive, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73127. Our home number is 405-470-6944!

I finally finished my book I have been working on for so many years and found a publisher to publish it. It was recently released and is getting great reviews. It takes some time for new book releases, especially from unknown authors such as myself, to really get off the ground, but before long I will be going on some book tours and signings and hope to be up your way not long after the first of the year! Mom and dad would be so proud of me for the book; it depicts them just as they always were, the most loving individuals anyone could know and how their love was always unconditional. I dedicated the book to them, along with certain others including yourself. Steve, I don't think I would be alive today had it not been for your unconditional love and support through many of the trials and tribulations I've endured throughout the years. I love you and your family dearly!

Espresso House Publishing released the book and information on it can be found at the following sites:
http://www.prlog.org/10912636

I wrote my life story from the bottom of my heart, with the total truth of my being who I am and with the love of God able to live the life I was given to live. It is a non-fiction autobiography that has been long over due. With everything going on in this world today with all the hatred and un-Christian like attitudes toward certain individuals and all the teen suicides relating to sexual preferences, I want to spend the rest of my life educating society on an issue so many are ignorant of and thus bitterly opposed to through that ignorance. I am using my newly released book as a vehicle to educate society and through this education will come understanding and acceptance and eventually equality for all. This world has evolved from the beginning and the old archaic beliefs of so many individuals has got to evolve as well. God is good and God is great, but God also knows certain things in this life are out of our own control. If every individual took many of these old archaic beliefs to heart and took them literally, most individuals would be going to Hell for once reason or another and that is not what our God had in mind, nor will it ever be. God would not create individuals who were not meant to live their life the way they were born to live; there is no choice in this, the only choice is to live a lie or live the truth and according to the teachings of Christ, everyone should live a truthful life!

Love your brother,

J.C.!

Well, I took my flu shot like the health care professionals tell you to do and a week later I come down with the flu!  Oh well; at least I did something to prevent it.  It probably would be much worse if I hadn't received the shot!

Going to make it short today as I need to crawl back to bed!

I have been working on my first sequel to LIVING THE DIFFERENCE now for a little while and am open to any input any of you would like to give for inclusion in the sequel.

Wild Elephant

Have you read or heard about the anti-gay book getting a lot of publicity, WILD ELEPHANT!  I can't believe some of the contents of the book.  The author claims basically that if you follow the teachings of the book, you can be sure your child will not be gay!

Quite obviously, the author has not performed much homework prior to writing the book!

I am working diligently at getting exposure for my new release, LIVING THE DIFFERENCE: an enlightening story revealed for people of all ages straight or gay!  I am using my book as a vehicle to assist in the accurate and proper education to society of homosexuality.  Currently a large portion of society is ill informed on homosexuality and ignorance on any subject matter is damning to that issue.  I firmly believe a more educated society is a more understanding and accepting society and along with that will eventually come equality for all!

Please help me with this education process!

Tip of the day:  HELP ME!

Love, True Love

A person is lucky if they find true love once in their lifetime.  Does it matter who that true love is with?  Absolutely not!

Certain individuals would have you think it must be a certain way or with a certain gender.  Again, absolutely not!

Why can't the entire world understand there are two types of individuals in this world, heterosexuals and homosexuals?  So one is more accepted and understood than the other, tough beans; we just need to educate the world on the other!

Can I trust each and every one of you to help me do that?  It takes us all; a joint effort.

I have the vehicle to help achieve this goal.  Please jump on board and help me.  The vehicle is my new book and I guarantee once a person reads it, they will understand homosexuality to a much higher degree than they ever thought possible.

Read LIVING THE DIFFERENCE and then get everyone you know to read it too, homosexuals and heterosexuals alike!

Trust me this will work!

Tip of the day:  JOIN IN AND BE A PART OF SOMETHING BIG!

Results

I have been running a poll on this blog site regarding the most influential and famous gay rights advocate in America.  The results are in and Ellen De Generes received 52% of the votes, followed by Frank Kameny with 32%, a distant third was Anderson Cooper with 12%, and Jodie Foster was dead last with the remainder of the votes!

Did you participate?  Do you want to participate in something even bigger?  How about getting involved yourself in gay rights!

I am a gay rights advocate working on educating the public in a more personal manner on homosexuality.  An educated society is generally a more accepting and understanding society and along with that should eventually come equality for all.

I am using my book just released, LIVING THE DIFFERENCE, as a vehicle in getting this accomplished!

Jump on board and be a part of something fun and exciting.  I'm not only working toward equality for homosexuals, but for all minorities as well.

Read my book and learn what it's all about; find out what you can do to help make a difference in the life of individuals around the world!

Tip of the day:  YOU MIGHT JUST ENJOY MAKING A DIFFERENCE!

?

I read many blogs and some of them I have no idea of what they are trying to accomplish!  Every individual has their own idea as to what they want their blog to accomplish!

Me, I'm no different!  I want my blog to give insight in certain areas of life certain individuals may not have been previously exposed to.  I also want my blog to hit certain nerves of people whose nerves may need a little rattling!

I usually don't rebroadcast stories or clippings to take up space unless I really believe it important news to share with my friends who may not have viewed the story elsewhere!

I am a writer, so I try to be creative with my posts; I may not always achieve that, but I give it my best!

Tip of the day:  READ MORE BLOGS; WHO KNOWS WHAT YOU MIGHT FIND OUT THERE!

Friends

What's the criteria used in considering someone a friend?  I'm sure each of you have your own set of guidelines!

Do we really know who our true friends are?  I thought I did until I came out of the closet!

Having trouble with your friends or truly identifying who your friends really are?

Read my new book just released, LIVING THE DIFFERENCE!  Let it be your friend!  It's not only for homosexuals to read; it's required reading for all.  It will open your eyes to human behavior!  It will make you angry!  It will make you sad!  It will make you happy!  It will make you feel a part of something you probably never thought possible!  It will make you laugh!  Most importantly, it will thoroughly entertain you on so many different levels.

Friends are great...but friends can also be not so great!  Never think just because someone is part of your family they are automatically your friend, it definitely doesn't always work that way!

Tip of the day:  COZY UP THESE COOL FALL EVENINGS WITH A BOOK; LET MY BOOK BE YOUR FRIEND!

Happy

What does it take to be really happy?  Is it money, love, friends, etc.?  If you had to select just one item that you believe would truly make you extremely happy, what would that one item be?

I'm sure you've been asked this many times before, but did you really give it some serious thought?

You're not getting any younger; maybe it's time you do something to really make your life complete and bring you total complete happiness.

Some of you may have all the happiness in your life that you want!  NOT...  I'm sure every one of you could use more happiness in various areas of your life!

Try giving some of your time to a worthy cause; trust me, it can make you feel very happy and extremely good about yourself!

Tired

Just got home and I am very tired from working our booth at the Oklahoma State Fair all weekend, early morning till late night!

I have met a tremendous number of individuals interested in helping me achieve my goal of increased education, in a more personal manner, of society on homosexuality!

The first step in helping is to read my book, LIVING THE DIFFERENCE, it's a major vehicle used in accomplishing this goal.

Tip of the day: LEND YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS TO THIS WORTHWHILE GOAL!

Friends

Saw many old friends and past business associates at the State Fair of Oklahoma yesterday; it was the first day of the event. I will be out there at our booth the entire run.

One old friend yesterday was so good to see; haven't seen her in close to a year. We share a particularly painful chapter of my life, but in a good way.

Find out more about that chapter in my new book LIVING THE DIFFERENCE, I have an entire chapter in my book devoted to that painful chapter in my life.

REMEMBERING

I've been thinking a lot about my mother and father the past few days; of course, I think about them every day since their passing, just a lot more lately!

I wish I could have had more time with them; so many things I would have liked to do with them and say to them. Will get that chance eventually!

I can just see my mother's expression on her face if she were alive to read certain passages from my new book just released.

This blog posting is in MEMORY OF MY DEAR MOTHER AND FATHER!

Tip of the day: DON'T PROCRASTINATE ON SHARING YOUR LIFE AND SAYING THINGS TO LOVED ONES, ONE NEVER KNOWS WHEN IT COULD BE TOO LATE; SHARE IN MY MEMORIES-READ MY NEW BOOK LIVING THE DIFFERENCE, YOU'LL BE TOTALLY ENTERTAINED, FILLED WITH EMOTION, AND TOTALLY IN AWE WITH ALL THE CONTENTS! Great Football Weekend For Oklahoma

Wow, both OU and OSU have won their first two games and I might add, OU looked great yesterday!

It's always good to see both teams win, except when they play each other; then OU is always my pick!

Hope your teams won this weekend!

Tip of the day: BE A TEAM PLAYER, GET OUT THERE AND DO YOUR PART IN EDUCATING SOCIETY ON HOMOSEXUALITY; LET MY BOOK LIVING THE DIFFERENCE ASSIST IN YOUR EFFORTS!

THANKS

Thanks every one of you for your support in my goal of educating society on homosexuality! I truly believe the more personal approach taken will reap great benefits.

Some of you may think it doesn't make a difference whether society understands and accepts homosexuality or not, that you can go about your business as usual and you won't be affected.

Think for a moment; wouldn't it be nice to have the same spousal benefits heterosexual couples enjoy, wouldn't you like going out with your partner anywhere and hold hands or give each other a kiss without giving it a second thought-ANYWHERE YOU GO. I could go on and on, but just realize you will reap great benefits from a more informed public and what better way to reside in this world today than in a society where one is accepted for who and what they are!

Please give it some serious thought and then join me in my efforts. My book LIVING THE DIFFERENCE is a start in the right direction. JUMP ON BOARD NOW!
I can't do it alone.

Tip of the day: JUST DO IT!

Hello To Everyone!

Isn't this social networking wonderful? What did we do without it? Every day something new and innovative is available to help us communicate our thoughts, wishes, desires, goals, etc.!

I'd really like to enlist the help of everyone in reaching my goal of acceptance, understanding, and equality for all in all societies. Let's make this OUR mutual goal.

There should be no reason why we can't make tremendous strides in that direction with all the tools at our disposal!

One of the tools/vehicle that is already in place to assist us all is a new book just released, LIVING THE DIFFERENCE! Please help me educate society in areas many are ignorant of and thus dangerous in their comments on certain issues such as homosexuality. With a more personal approach to this education, which the book definitely follows, we have a much better chance of achieving our common and mutual goal!

Spread the word that LIVING THE DIFFERENCE is a must read book for homosexuals and heterosexuals alike; anyone desiring knowledge, while being entertained in the process, must read this book! Lend a hand in helping millions achieve acceptance, understanding, and equality! Yes, one person can make a difference!

Tip of the day: HELP MAKE THIS WORLD A BETTER PLACE FOR ALL TO RESIDE IN!

Holiday Weekend Upon Us

Enjoy your holiday weekend! Make it a memorable one for you and everyone you come in contact with.

It's the official Last Fling of the summer so make the most of it!

I want to also thank everyone for their emails showing support for my cause of educating society in a more personal manner on homosexuality.

Tip of the day: ENJOY THE WEEKEND!

Look At It This Way

Would a heterosexual be able to change their sexual preference if being a heterosexual was not acceptable in most societies around the world? Wouldn't that heterosexual realized a long time ago that they were born that way?

So what's the difference? Would heterosexuals just change their preference because many individuals in society believe it's that simple.

I DON'T THINK SO...!!!

Tip of the day: APPLY LOGIC TO THIS SCENARIO AND THEN LET'S TALK!

Education

Please help me educate society on what being gay is all about. Let's educate everyone so they have no excuse but to accept that we are an integral part of society in all parts of the world and that we are not going away, just as heterosexuals will never go away. We're both in this world together.

Contact me if interested in making a difference.

Tip of the day: READ WHAT IT'S REALLY LIKE BEING GAY, READ MY BOOK LIVING THE DIFFERENCE!

Terrific Tuesday!

Been receiving a tremendous amount of response from all my avenues of social networking; even have some individuals wanting to get involved in my more personal approach/push for education to society on homosexuality.

I guarantee you that through education in a more personal and realistic manner, we will see a higher degree of understanding and acceptance and once we reach that higher degree, it is only a matter of time for equality to happen in our lifetime.

Do it NOW and get involved. My book Living the Difference is a great tool to get this process started. Download it now on Amazon Kindle or wait a few more days for the hardcover and paperback editions to be on shelves and the Internet at Amazon.com.

Tip of the day: WHY WAIT WHEN YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS TO THIS GOAL CAN BEGIN MAKING A DIFFERENCE IMMEDIATELY!

Monday, Monday!

Did everyone have a great weekend? Mine was somewhat laid back! Just relaxed and spent some time with my significant other and my sons! It was a leisurely and satisfying weekend!

If you haven't checked out my new book yet, you can either download it on your Kindle from Amazon or in a few days the paperback and hardback editions will be out and available on shelves or at Amazon.com!

Be a part of the education process to assist in promoting acceptance and equality for all gays, as well as all minorities!

It takes more than just one to make it happen; BE A PART OF THE DIFFERENCE.

Tip of the day: READ MY BOOK LIVING THE DIFFERENCE, YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!

Weekend

Have a great weekend. I'm starting mine early as I'm not feeling that great!

Tip of the day: SOMETIMES YOU JUST NEED TO RELAX AND TAKE A BREAK!

Do You Need To Finish Cleaning & Coming Out Of The Closet? Do You Need Help? Do You Want To Help Others?

How many individuals do you think are homosexual and really don't know or more accurately are in complete denial? How many times do you think they have opened the closet door only to slam it shut? Just how difficult is it to live that lie?

These are questions I would think any parent would not want their child to have to either face alone or dodge their entire life. What can be done to alleviate this often common dilemma faced by many children, teens, young adults...?

EDUCATION! Why is it so difficult to get this point across to societies in every corner of this world? Again, EDUCATION!

Please join me and become a part of a greater education process that is needed to bring this world to a higher understanding of what homosexuality is all about. While homosexuals don't have a choice to be who and what we are no more than heterosexuals have a choice to be who and what they are, everyone has a choice to assist in this education process that is needed to wipe out ignorance of the true facts. The only way acceptance has a chance of catching on is to accomplish this goal of education. Only through education and acceptance, will total equality ever become a reality. We can chip away at this little by little, but only with combined efforts, a common goal, and the right approach will we get this accomplished.

Tip of the day: DAMN IT, JUST SAY TO YOURSELF I AM GOING TO DO THIS AND DO IT NOW!

Have you done your share of work toward equality for all gays and all minorities? Your participation will make a difference. I'm always looking for individuals to help with the cause.

Tip of the day: DO IT NOW, DON'T WAIT TILL LATER; LATER ALWAYS HAS A WAY OF BEING POSTPONED TILL LATER!

Educate

Many in the gay community bitch about equality, gay rights, etc.; but do many of us do anything about it? No!!!!!!!!!! Do you know the one area that help is needed in to achieve equality? EDUCATION! How can society in today's world accept something and move toward equality in those areas they are uneducated in? Would you vote to change or improve something if you were ignorant of the true facts? Probably not!

So what's going to change this? EDUCATION!!

I have written a book to be released soon that is equally as important for straight individuals to read, as well as all homosexuals. Don't make it just sexual; most everyone straight or gay has sex........what happens in the bedroom should stay in the bedroom.

Watch for the release of my book and then join me in these efforts to EDUCATE, ENLIGHTEN, and INFORM the general public as to who we really are.

I know this is old news, but for those of you who didn't get a chance to view this, I think you should!

Finally Friday

I want to challenge everyone to do something special this weekend! I know weekends tend to be selfish times, a time for individuals to do mainly what they want to do for fun and excitement for themselves. That's totally OK, we all need our weekends.

But what about those who don't have the luxury to do what they have wanted to do for a long time; those who are constrained by monetary, physical, or any other of a number of means.

I challenge everyone of you to do something this weekend to make the weekend of those individuals constrained a fantastic and great weekend for them, one that will last and live on in their memories for a very long time!

If you meet this challenge, I guarantee you that come Monday morning, you'll feel as good or better than if your weekend was purely a selfish one. Come on, give it a try.

Tip of the day: BROADEN YOUR HORIZON, TRY SOMETHING NEW, BE THAT INDIVIDUAL WHO MAKES A DIFFERENCE; ONE NEVER KNOWS WHEN THEY MAY BE IN NEED OF THE SAME GENEROSITY-GO FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It takes but a moment and you might just help a worthy cause, as well as possibly learning something you may not have already known! It's also fun to check back and get the results and then you realize how much you actually knew or didn't know at all. IT CAN BE A FUN AND REWARDING EXPERIENCE! It costs nothing other than time!

Tip of the day: PARTICIPATE AND BE A PART OF SOMETHING THAT COULD JUST MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR LIFE OR THE LIFE OF SOMEONE ELSE!

Typical Tuesday

Just your normal Tuesday at the office. Have a lot to do today.

There is sure a lot of blogging going on out there. I am following many blogs and still come across new and unusual ones that sometimes surprise me with the contents and thoughts expressed. That's what makes blogging so unique and interesting; it's a way for anyone to get a point across or just ramble on for whatever their reason. It's another good way to feel a part of something larger than you may have ever thought you'd be a part of. You, yes you, could easily touch someone and make an extremely important difference in their life.

Need to get back to work for the moment.

Tip of the day: JUMP IN AND JOIN, START BLOGGING OR AT LEAST START FOLLOWING CERTAIN BLOGS; ONE NEVER KNOWS WHAT INFORMATION COULD BE OBTAINED AND HOW THAT INFORMATION COULD CHANGE A LIFE SOMEWHERE IN THIS WORLD WE ALL LIVE IN!

Big Day For Chelsea

A big day this past weekend for the Clinton family. Would have been nice to have attended just to get a taste of what a reported fairytale wedding is supposed to be like. I've been to many weddings and most of them seem fairytale to me; it would be nice if the majority of the weddings and the thereafter ended up that way, but unfortunately many do not.

Heard from my publisher and I now have to proof the final cut of my manuscript so it can get to final print and on to the shelves. Getting a little excited here!

How is everything with everyone else? I trust it's going great and if not, I'd hear otherwise. Remember, I'm always here for anyone and enjoy hearing from everyone.

Tip of the day: NOTHING IS EVER TOO LITTLE OR TOO SMALL TO BE OF SIGNIFICANCE; IF IT'S YOUR "NOTHING" IT IS DEFINITELY "SOMETHING" AND WORTHY OF DISCUSSION AND RESOLUTION!

Getting Reacquainted, Etc.

Yesterday, I joined Twitter and Facebook. It was so good to reconnect with many past friends and acquaintances. I have already received numerous emails since yesterday.

How is everyone doing today? I don't know about where you live, but here in Oklahoma City it sure has been extremely hot and humid. Guess that's what to expect for this time of the year though.

I have met some interesting people through my efforts of social networking and it is definitely a learning and fun experience. Everyday I can hardly wait to get on the computer and check things out. Technology has sure come a long way; to even dream of some of the tools available today just a few years ago, is almost unheard of.

Everyone take care and enjoy being who and what you are and let me hear from you!

Tip of the day: DON'T EVER THINK SOMETHING YOU'D LIKE TO SEE GET ACCOMPLISHED OR SOME PIECE OF EQUIPMENT YOU'D LIKE TO SEE INVENTED WILL NEVER HAPPEN; EVERYDAY, SOMEONE OR SOMETHING GETS DONE THAT WE THOUGHT COULD NEVER HAPPEN (IT SCARES THE SHIT OUT OF ME SOMETIMES)!

Election Results

We had many primaries in Oklahoma yesterday and I'm not pleased with all the results. One very gay friendly candidate lost out in the primary; I had hopes he could make it on to Washington.

We now have an extremely conservative candidate running for governor of our state; either way the outcome of that final race will produce the first woman governor for the state of Oklahoma as both candidates are females. I'll have to study each of their agendas a little further before settling on who to support in the upcoming race.

Politics play an extremely important role in education of the public toward homosexuality and the furthering of equality for homosexuals.

Hope this finds everyone having a great day so far.

Let me know how things are going with you and yours!

Tip of the day: ALL MOST OF US WANT IS EQUALITY AND TRUTHFUL AND HEALTHY HARMONY IN OUR LIFE; LET'S ALL WORK TOGETHER IN WHATEVER WAY WE CAN TO ACHIEVE THAT GOAL IN THE VERY NEAR FUTURE.

Mayhem Monday

Oh well, what can I say? Woke up with a terrible sore throat and then got to the office and received an email from my publisher that the illustrations for my book were not of the right resolution and size.

I've spent all morning getting everything up to par on the illustrations and finally believe I've sent on to them the correct format, etc. for all the illustrations (at least I hope so).

Did have a great day yesterday. My partner's aunt who passed away fairly recently was honored at church for her contributions to a more beautiful Oklahoma City; she was a wonderful gardener and leader of the local garden club. The church dedicated a new garden in front of the church in her honor. Numerous family members and friends were present and it was great to see them all.

I trust everyone had a great weekend and a better start to their Monday than I have so far.

Let me hear from you and always remember I am here for all and truly enjoy doing for others as much or more than doing for myself.

Tip of the day: KNOWING SOMEONE CARES AND IS THERE, IF FOR NOTHING MORE THAN A SOUNDING BOARD, CAN MANY TIMES BE ENOUGH COMFORT TO SEE ONE THROUGH ANYTHING!

Hi, everyone! As you may or may not know, I have a book that will be on the shelves soon. I will also be traveling promoting the book, as well as gay awareness, acceptance, etc. in the very near future.

I welcome anyone who wants to be a part of something that I believe will change the landscape for all gays everywhere in an extremely positive way. That has been my dream for a very long time.

Let me hear from you and I am always looking to include as many individuals as I can in whatever way I can to help with the cause.

Tip of the day: SOMETIMES KNOWING WHERE TO USE YOUR TALENTS, AS WELL AS HOW TO CONTRIBUTE THEM CAN MAKE A PERSON FEEL SO COMPLETE IN THEIR EFFORTS TOWARD BETTERING HUMANITY!

Surviving The Heat

Is everyone taking precautions against the heat? I'm not asking if you're hot; that's left up to interpretation.

Joking aside, the heat is something to protect yourself from. Stay hydrated and keep sunblock on exposed areas of your skin. It's not a laughing matter. Serious heat strokes are common day occurrences at this time of the year.

There are many things one can do and still have loads of fun while staying out of the heat.

Tip of the day: WHETHER YOU'RE HOT OR NOT, TRY LIMITING YOUR EXPOSURE; SOME PEOPLE ARE JUST TOO HOT FOR THEIR OWN GOOD!

Excitement

Hi everyone! I will now begin to post more regularly. Things are still busy at the office and at home, but I have sent everything on to my publisher and my book is in the production phase of publication.

I just received an email of what my cover (front and back) will look like and I am extremely pleased with their work.

Remember, once the marketing end of this venture of mine gets going, I will need help and assistance in certain areas. Let me know who out there would like to be a part of it.

I am already working on my second book of an intended series and am always looking for any outside input from friends and fans.

Tip of the day: GETTING INVOLVED IN A WORTHY CAUSE CAN BE EXTREMELY LIFE ALTERING IN AN EXTREMELY POSITIVE WAY!

"Idol" Fans

Any fans out there? This is a weird season; they just need to get rid of big Mike. Tim is the one to beat; while he may not show the variation some of the singers do, he is always consistently good and enjoyable to listen to.

What's your take on the show?

Tip of the day: ENJOY SOME OF THE SMALLER INSIGNIFICANT THINGS IN LIFE!

Tuesday, April 13, 2010

Hi!

How is your day going today? I took off early yesterday to do some things around the house; getting ready to sell it and move soon. Enjoy the nice weather out there today and do something fun (even if it's just for a brief moment).

I don't know about you, but I'm definitely ready for Spring; I'm ready for some consistent spring weather. I've been indoors a lot this winter with the weather we've had.

Feeling much better today. I'm sure you're tired of hearing about my health; oh well, it's my blog and I'll write what I want. Seriously, I'm over talking about not feeling great and besides, I actually am feeling much better.

I'm beginning the final edit of my book, along with approving and deciding on the illustrations to include.

Get Out

Get out today, it's a great day outside again. I went out yesterday and enjoyed a great afternoon of sun and fun; it was good for me. We've had so much winter weather lately, you may have wondered if the sun would ever come out again.

Going Forward

I realize what my slowdown in the progress of my book is attributed to. The recent chapters have really brought back memories of some difficult times in my life that I felt I'd recovered from. It appears my shell wasn't hard enough; the memories are still taking a toll on my emotions more than ever imagined.

Though difficult, I'm continuing on no matter what and feel I'll only become a stronger individual by completing my book.

Tip of the day: SOMETIMES YOU JUST HAVE TO DO IT!

Wednesday, February 24, 2010

Writer's Block

I'm experiencing writer's block at the moment. At a point in my book where I'm nearing completion, but I'm stuck at a stand still. Maybe it's because I'm too concerned about making sure I'm ending it properly or something like that.

Hopefully I'll be able to get past this soon.

Tip of the day: DO YOUR BEST, THAT'S ALL ANYONE CAN EXPECT, EVEN YOU!

Tuesday, February 23, 2010

Getting Closer

Getting so close to finishing my book I can see the end. It's been an extremely long process that's had its ups and downs.

You'll see the end result once the publishing process is complete.

Tip of the day: GETTING CLOSE IS GREAT, BUT NOT GOOD ENOUGH; YOU MUST GO TO COMPLETION TO REAP THE TRUE BENEFITS!

Cold Day in Oklahoma City

It's cold today. Need to warm up so I can get creative and get some work accomplished on my book today.

It's nearing completion and these last couple of chapters are proving somewhat a challenge.

Tip of the day: LIFE IS FULL OF CHALLENGES, IT'S THOSE OF US WHO RISE TO THE OCCASION THAT WILL REAP THE BENEFITS!

Olympic Mania

What about the Russian skater! He flat out lost the gold for no reason other than he wasn't as good as the American; it's as simple as that. His sportsmanship was terrible.

What do you think?

Tip of the day: BE GRACIOUS IF YOU DON'T ALWAYS COME OUT ON TOP, IT'S THOSE TIMES OTHERS REALLY SEE YOU FOR WHO YOU ARE!

Book Progress

Hey everyone. Want to have some fun? I'm starting a contest to help me with my illustrations for the book. If interested let me hear from you. There're so many subjects in the book I want to illustrate with drawings I need some help in picking out which ones I'll include in my book.

Let me hear from you and I'll give you some of the ones I'm considering and then you can help me come up with the right illustration for the various subject matters.

It can be a lot of fun and you'll get some recognition along the way.

Tip of the day: JUMP RIGHT IN AND BE A PART OF SOMETHING; WHO KNOWS, IT COULD LEAD TO AN INTERESTING AND MEMORABLE PERIOD IN YOUR LIFE!

Progress

I made a lot of progress yesterday on my book. Most of the progress was on a chapter dealing with a lot of hurt feelings from the way certain family members were treating me throughout many ordeals.

It was difficult working on the chapter because it brought back many unpleasant memories.

Tip of the Day: SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO LET GO OF THE HURT, IF YOU DON'T ONE MAY NEVER HEAL PROPERLY!

Time for a Change

You know I started this blog with the intention of promoting my book about to get published. I'm about 80% finished with the manuscript and can't wait for the finished product to come out. It'll probably be the first book of its' kind dealing with an individuals realization of his difference virtually from the beginning of existence and how that realization was dealt with throughout his life.

It's a book to benefit and inform everyone, gay or straight, and a book that will entertain and entice the reader to continue reading to the end. It's a book that will leave one with wanting more and I've built into the book an opportunity for upcoming sequels.

I've kind of strayed away from my book in this blog and am going to again make it the subject of most postings.

Tip of the day: WHEN ONE STRAYS FROM THE COURSE, THERE'S USUALLY A PURPOSE; GETTING BACK ON COURSE IS SOMEWHAT A CHALLENGE, BUT WORTH THE EFFORT!

New Work Week

I felt like staying in bed this morning; it's very cold outside and snuggling in bed with my significant other and our dog sure sounded great, but I didn't do it. I went to work like a good employee should; oh well, maybe the next cold day I'll just do it.

Tip of the day: SOMETIMES JUST DOING SOMETHING AT THE SPUR OF THE MOMENT CAN BE GOOD FOR YOU; I NEED TO TAKE MY OWN ADVICE AND TRY IT MORE OFTEN!

Get out today and do something fun. Don't forget while you're out to get your significant other something special for Valentine's day.

Tip of the day: A GIFT DOESN'T HAVE TO COST OR BE MUCH; JUST A LITTLE SOMETHING TO REMIND THAT SPECIAL ONE YOU CARE AND THOUGHT OF THEM ON A SPECIAL DAY!

Great Day

Hey everyone, it's a great day. Make the most of your day. I know the following tip is somewhat the same as the other day, but it's so important to make the most out of every day and this tip is just another way of reminding you. Making the most out of every day can mean many different things. If you need to do nothing that day it's ok every now and then, you probably have a good reason and deserve a day of rest, just make the most out of your day of rest; if you want to get a lot accomplished and stay busy all day, that's great too, take advantage of the moment. Each day is yours to do as you please!

Tip of the day: MAKING THE MOST OUT OF EACH DAY WILL ONLY MAKE YOU FEEL BETTER ABOUT YOURSELF; THERE ARE ONLY SO MANY DAYS IN YOUR LIFE SPAN, ONCE THE DAY IS OVER, IT'S GONE FOREVER!

Just showered and leaving the house to run some errands.

Later!

Hi everyone! Getting ready to go look at homes again; kind of getting excited. Just had a new home built a little over a year ago, but now that I'm getting my book published decided I need a home with a library that'd be perfect for my continued writing.

Bright Sunny Day

Wow, this morning is just beautiful. The sun is shining, there is very little wind, and the temperature is decent.

Wish I could be outside all day today.

Wrote a complete chapter in my book yesterday. It is getting there! Have already done some preliminary advertising and marketing for the release. It will blow your socks off and anything else you want to get off! This is a tell all story from the earliest memory of my existence up to the present; things most people would not want to make public about their sexuality.

Will keep you updated along the way.

Tip of the day: YOU ONLY EXIST ON THIS EARTH ONCE, BE SURE TO ENJOY IT AND MAKE THE MOST OF IT!

Rough Morning

This morning my significant other had somewhat of a meltdown. He has been stressed a lot with work; he works in a manufacturing setting and has been working an extreme amount of overtime. His back, hand, hip, and foot are bothering him tremendously and the conditions at his job are the main culprits.

We held each other this morning and talked about steps to better his overall condition. He recently went to the doctor and is waiting for the results of various tests.

I am glad I could be there for him this morning as it gave me a good feeling that I was able to help relieve his frustrations, even it if was only a little.

I love him dearly and pray for his situation to improve.

I know he knows in his heart I would do anything for him.

Tip of the day: MANY TIMES HELPING OTHERS IS THE BEST WAY TO HELP YOURSELF!

Back at Work

Back at the office today after three "straight" days at the Home and Garden Show.

Glad to be back; like I said earlier, it was elbow to elbow people most of the time.

About half way finished with my book and it should be in bookstores by the end of the year. You will be mesmerized with the contents! Certain chapters and/or topics in the book will have their own sequel devoted to details readers of the original book will be foaming at the mouth to get at.

Tip of the day: WHATEVER YOUR WEEK HAS IN STORE FOR YOU, REMEMBER TO LOOK AT IT POSITIVELY; ANY RESULTS FROM THE WEEK ARE ALWAYS BETTER THAN HAVING NO RESULTS AT ALL (think about it)!

Set up Day @ H & G Show

Getting ready to go out to the fairgrounds and set our exhibit up for the 2010 Home and Garden Show.

Will be out there the next three days.

Won't have access to a computer to work on my book at breaks and lunch so I'll have to give it a rest for a few days.

Tip of the day: IF YOU ARE DOWN FOR ANY REASON, DO SOMETHING SPECIAL FOR YOURSELF AND IT WILL NOT ONLY PICK YOU UP, BUT WILL AFFECT OTHERS YOU'RE AROUND!

Rush Day

Getting all ready for the Home and Garden show this weekend. I will be there the entire time to man our exhibit!

We do the show every year and it brings business in the door for months after.

Got to go!

Tip of the day: DON'T RUSH YOUR THOUGHTS, YOU MAY BLURT SOMETHING OUT WITHOUT TOTALLY THINKING!

Touchstone Tuesday

Is today going to size up the way your week will turn out? It doesn't have to, unless it turns out to be the best Tuesday of your life! Life is like that; you don't have to label anything, unless you want to.

Has someone labeled you? Don't worry if they have; labels are open for interpretation.

Tip of the day: IF A LABEL HAS UNJUSTLY BEEN PLACED ON YOU, JUST PEEL IT OFF AND PLACE IT WHERE IT BELONGS!
