REVISED MISSION
STATEMENT OF OSCAR’S FOUNDATION
Oscar's Foundation is a non-profit*
charitable organization 501 (c) (3) that has been set up in the State of
Oklahoma and registered to do business under the Solicitation of Charitable
Contributions Act with all required business applications, articles, &
other filings required and everything has been submitted, current, &
approved with notifications & certificates received (FORMED 9/22/2022).
Due to a recent move & re-organization, we do not currently permanently board or house animals (other than what is permissible according to local municipal, county, or state code), but operate as a
facilitator for animals needing placement with foster/permanent families (D20 -
Animal Protection & Welfare). We operate with donations in accomplishing
our goals, offering assistance of many
types to those in need during the process of re-homing their animals still in
their possession and/or we will place with approved fosters, if available; in
addition, we place strays with our approved fosters until permanent loving
environments are found and help them with various types of assistance in this
process as well. Our ongoing mission is
to reach animal lovers worldwide compassionate to our cause of saving as large
a number as possible of stray & neglected animals caused by abuse, extreme
weather conditions due to climate change, overpopulation, and numerous other
factors and are the advocate in their corner to help facilitate this transition
from being stray & neglected to that of ultimately residing within a
permanent loving environment. Oscar’s Foundation will do what it takes to save
animals in need. Oscar’s Foundation is
currently working on a revision to our “Emotional Support Dog” program and
should have it operational again in the near future; additionally, certain
animals with special needs will soon be a part of our existing program
again.
The recent move of the Founders has necessitated this current re-organization.
