Oscar's Foundation, depending on the level of donations received & allocated, provides assistance to qualified animal owners for veterinary services/supplies through one of their public charitable programs.
The Veterinary Assistance Fund receives hundreds of requests for assistance & typically has a wait list. We are not able to cover every situation, nor is there any nonprofit that is able to assist with every case; we provide as much help as our funding & wait list will allow.
NOTE: If this is a medical emergency, please take your pet to the nearest Animal Emergency Hospital! This fund is only for non-emergency basic services/supplies provided by a licensed veterinarian. In the case of a medical emergency, ask your veterinarian about setting up a payment plan; many are set up to offer assistance through:

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION NEEDED TO DETERMINE ELIGIBILITY:
1. Applicant must be 18, owner of pet, & reside in the United States.
2. Oscar's Foundation does not reimburse the cost of veterinary care for services/supplies that have already been performed/received & paid for by owner. In no situation will a payment from Oscar's Foundation be made directly to the owner.
3. Owner agrees to provide a photo of their pet & allow Oscar's Foundation to use any images submitted for promotional purposes once approved & payment is made directly to the PROVIDER from a submitted estimate of services/supplies.
4. Oscar's Foundation IS NOT responsible for pet death due to any procedure performed by the provider, including shots, or various supplies, all that have been approved & prepaid by Oscar's Foundation.
5. Copy of a written cost estimate for the needed procedures &/or treatment from your veterinarian, along with any supplies needed.
6. Name, address, & medical license number for your treating veterinarian.
7. Proof of income - This can be a copy of a check stub, unemployment benefits, disability benefits, etc. The proof of income must be recent, & we cannot use tax forms for this purpose.
8. If you currently have a personal fundraiser set up using an online crowdfunding donation service, such as: https://www.gofundme.com/ to help you with these expenses, you do not qualify for assistance under this program.
If you think you & your animal may be eligible for our program, email us at oscarsanimalrescue.facilitation@gmail.com with a description of your animal’s medical/supply needs. Include a phone number where you can be reached, along with your email as well. If your animal’s medical needs match our program criteria, we will advise & continue forward to either approval or reason for denial.
Please do not be intimidated by any of this as Oscar's Foundation is very understanding & very much loves to help those in need & we will do everything to try to accommodate within reason.
