BRIEF SYNOPSIS OF WHAT IT MEANS TO BE AN ANIMAL RESCUE AMBASSADOR:
Being an ambassador for an animal rescue nonprofit involves being a dedicated advocate for the organization and its mission to save and care for stray, neglected, and homeless animals ending with eventual placement in a permanent loving home, in addition to assisting owners of pets (when owner has a qualifying financial hardship) with the costs of the care and supplies for their pets in order the pet remains in the home with the owner, rather than surrendering their pet to a shelter. THE ONLY COST ASSOCIATED WITH BEING AN AMBASSADOR IS THE TIME YOU SPEND...
Here's a breakdown of what being an ambassador means (two-fold):
1. Representing the organization and its mission - Ambassadors share positive experiences and inspire others to support the cause in various ways.
- They act as spokespeople, promoting events, campaigns, and news through their personal and professional networks, including social media.
- They participate in and assist in organizing events to increase the nonprofit's visibility and fundraising initiatives.
2. Increasing awareness and support while participating in fundraising initiatives - Ambassadors help expand the reach of the non-profit organization through their (the ambassador's) own clubs they belong to, their church contacts, neighbors, fellow workers, groups on social media the ambassador belongs to (all audiences the non-profit may not have connected with before). Additionally, passion and personal stories are powerful tools to drive fundraising efforts and attract new donors and corporate sponsors, for instance, by participating in fundraising initiatives (fundraising initiatives include Ambassador's efforts to obtain donations or essential supplies (with methods already used and proven by the non-profit organization) for the "Public Charitable Programs" run by Oscar's Foundation, and used in/forthe welfare and care of the At Risk Animals in Need, which eventually leads to permanent, loving, and caring homes for these stray, neglected, and homeless animals).
In essence, being an ambassador for an animal rescue nonprofit means being a passionate and dedicated supporter who actively works to advance the organization's mission in a variety of ways; this not only increases awareness, but also ultimately helps more animals find loving homes.
